"Fornero in the cemetery": Diliberto in the storm

Stadium stuff. Indeed, perhaps not even in the curves and in the most vulgar sports bar speeches do we get to send messages of such violence. Like the one that appeared on the shirt of a woman who was demonstrating in front of Palazzo Chigi today to protest against the reform of article 18 launched by the government. "La Fornero at the cemetery", recited the unfortunate slogan, printed in white on black. In addition to the disappointment for the discussed (and questionable) law: a real death wish to the Minister of Labor of the Monti government, Elsa Fornero, protagonist of the entire media and legislative process of the measure, and in particular of the failure to agree with the labor unions.

To make the episode even more unfortunate, and such as to arouse the "indignation and disgust" of Minister Fornero, was the presence alongside the not very elegant lady of Oliviero Diliberto, national secretary of the Italian Communist Party and also former Minister of Justice in the D'Alema government.

"I read that a former Minister of Justice - Fornero declared indignantly - offered his sympathetic and pleased smile to photographers who were recording a demonstration for which the chosen slogan was: 'Fornero in the cemetery'". “I feel deep disgust and outrage – added the owner of the Welfare – and I denounce the irresponsibility of such behaviors and not only because I find myself being the object of these slogans: Italy deserves better politicians”.

The images of the disputed photo immediately went around the net and Diliberto ended up in the storm not only for the smug attitude visible in the image, but because it seems that he spent some time with the demonstrators, even chanting slogans against Fornero. Which, despite the interested party's prompt apologies, makes it difficult to think that he didn't notice the shameful writing on the shirt. “As everyone knows, we are used to conducting our battles openly and politically, starting with the one against the government and against Minister Fornero's policies, but I wouldn't want some wrong and macabre message to divert attention from the sacrosanct reasons of the workers”, said the secretary of the Italian Communists, adding: "It's clear that I hadn't noticed the slogan on the shirt at all, and I'm sorry for that".
