Training, Golinelli Foundation and Bologna University agreement

Promotion of cultural initiatives, projects to support entrepreneurship, orientation activities for students and training for teachers. These are the main points of the three-year collaboration signed between the Golinelli Foundation and the University of Bologna. The purpose of the alliance is to give life to new strategies in the area of training and accompanying young people towards business.

As happened a millennium ago, coinciding with a crisis of civilization in many respects comparable to the one we are going through today, Bologna wants to go back to being a proactive hub for the future. The vocation to study and research is part of a DNA that has allowed Bologna to found a model of transmission of knowledge that has conditioned and profoundly influenced the developments of the West in the second millennium.

“Training and research must increasingly be able to go hand in hand with synergistic paths that aim to consolidate, in the immediate future, notions and skills in concrete contexts - comments the Rector of the University of Bologna Francesco Ubertini - The close relationship between Alma Mater and the Golinelli Foundation is from this point of view, a fundamental element, thanks to which it will be possible to create new opportunities and opportunities for growth capable of generating positive effects not only for our students, but for the entire economic and social fabric involved”.

“Collaboration with the University – explains Marino Golinelli, honorary president of the Golinelli Foundation – is an indispensable factor in order to be able to build a scientific and entrepreneurial training system in Bologna capable of giving our youngsters some chance. The history of Bologna demonstrates the centrality that the studium has occupied in the economy and in the imagination that has made the city a strong point in the European fabric”.

Among the first projects in the pipeline, training courses on entrepreneurial culture will be launched across degree courses, schools and departments, to bring entrepreneurial skills and abilities to all students of the University regardless of the disciplinary course attended. The collaboration will then also focus on enhancing the research and know-how of the University's laboratories, also starting from technologies and patents already developed to create new businesses.

The Foundation and the University will also collaborate for the qualification of the teaching profession in primary and secondary schools. In this sense, an initial training project has already been launched, presented together with the "Giovanni Maria Bertin" Department of Educational Sciences to organize advanced training courses for teachers, offering the possibility of developing the entire part "in the laboratory, in the field" Golinelli factory. Particular attention will then also be paid to future teachers: in fact, a collaboration has been started between the Foundation and the School of Psychology and Educational Sciences to offer university students teaching opportunities in science laboratories.

The Foundation and the University are committed to collaborating more and more also on the orientation of young people in choosing and enrolling at the University, identifying the most suitable institutional and communication methods with the aim of integrating training-orientation programmes; finally, a series of collaborations on the subject of school-work alternation and job orientation are being studied.
