The TV rights of Serie A football ended up in Chinese hands. The giant Dalian Wanda, the real estate group led by Wang Jianlin, the second richest man in China, has in fact acquired Infront Sports & Media, a Swiss company active in sports marketing and led by the nephew of Sepp Blatter (number one of Fifa), Philippe , as well as advertising advisor for the FIGC.

The most important Chinese investor in the culture and entertainment sector paid one billion and 50 million euros to take over the European private equity fund Bridgepoint which had taken over Infront in 2011. The agreement was signed in Beijing, as explained by a note, which underlines Wanda's commitment in the football sector, having acquired 20% of Atletico Madrid last month (share equal to 45 million euros).
