Forbes: among the 100 most powerful women of 2013 there are two Italians

Among the hundred most powerful women of 2013 there are two Italians: Miuccia Prada and Fabiola Gianotti. In the Forbes ranking, the names of the Cern designer and physicist are respectively in 58th and 78th place. Miuccia Prada in 2012 was in place 67 and in 2011 in 79; for Gianotti it is, however, the first time.

Until 2010, the only Italian woman always present in the standings was Marina Berlusconi. Instead, he has been absent for three years. According to Forbes, Miuccia Prada is "a fashion legend" and the company that she leads with her husband and CEO Patrizio Bertelli is always expanding. The new entry, Fabiola Gianotti, in 2012 is coordinator for the fourth consecutive year for the $20 million Atlas experiment at CERN in Geneva. Atlas is one of the two experiments (the other is Cms) thanks to which the Higgs boson was discovered; more than 3000 researchers collaborate on the project.
