Technology helps nutrition, in order to protect health. The virtuous triangle is put into practice byAuthentico app: a revolutionary experiment that allows you to trace, through Blockchain technology, food for take-away and home delivery and certify the origin of all the ingredients used and the processing methods. The application was created by the startup of the same name, which releases Certifood, a "smart" label that allows the restaurateur to guarantee its customers a higher level of food safety.
It is therefore affixed to each prepared product an adhesive label with a QR Code, which is also a guarantee seal on the packaging used for delivery, containing information on the origin of the ingredients used for the preparation. The customer, who scans the code with his smartphone, will be able to verify compliance with food hygiene practices for the food he has purchased and consume it in complete safety. An even more useful option, in times of coexistence with the coronavirus (which is not transmitted through food, but through deliveries the danger exists).
According to the research "Food Delivery At The Time Of Coronavirus" by the FIPE Study Center, in fact, one in four consumers does not order food for delivery for fear of contagion and 57% plan to reduce or cancel consumption opportunities outside the home because held back by fear of non-compliance with the rules.
The service made its debut on an experimental basis in one of the symbolic cities of the Italian food and wine tradition, where one of the most delivery dishes of all is at home: pizza. Authentico made its debut in Naples, from the pizzeria "La Notizia" (and this time there's the news…) that from now on the label with the QR Code will be affixed to each pack.
"With the Authentico blockchain we are able to ensure the traceability of the preparation of a ready meal or a pizza but above all the respect of hygiene and health standards and offer real-time verification to the end customer", commented the CEO of Authentico Pino Coletti.
