The commercial with chef Alessandro Borghese is good for business. But something more was needed, especially when you want to grow on the global market. Therefore, issue of mini bonds to expand production, strengthen the "Armando" brand and strengthen the system between industry and agriculture in a strategic area.

De Matteis Agroalimentare, one of the main producers of quality pasta in the Flumeri (Av) plant in Campania, caters to the market. It issues a one million euro minibond, which is immediately subscribed by Anthilia Capital Partners, through the Anthilia Co-Investments Fund.

The fresh money is a success, but also the confirmation of a collaboration with Anthilia which once again puts trust in a solid reality of food in Southern Italy.

In the plant at the foot of the Apennines, "near the main durum wheat growing areas (Irpinia, Puglia, Basilicata)", the company recalls, we continue to invest in a supply chain of sustainable excellence, from the field to the finished product. Quality sought after with care because the determination to produce is accompanied by the desire to preserve the territory, the traditions, the knowledge of precious rules handed down.

Finance that accepts these truths is perhaps a sign of the times. The bond loan is the second tranche of a 6 million euro transaction. The new resources go to support the 2019-2023 industrial plan with the strengthening of typical products on the world market. The “Armando”, promoted by Alessandro Borghese, is drawn from 100% large durum bronze. A kind of "pact" between farms that since 2010 has linked over 1500 suppliers in 8 Italian regions.

"Thanks to the new bond issue, the company intends to consolidate the expansion of the business achieved in foreign markets and further develop the presence of the Armando brand in Italy and the USA", explained Luca Iandolo, Manager of De Matteis Agroalimentare.

Since 1993 it has been an uphill race for De Matteis. Today it produces various varieties of pasta (as well as Flumeri , in Giano (PG) ), but it has also acquired merits for the sustainability of its processes. It has reduced the use of plastic in packaging by replacing it with other materials. Virtually no CO2 comes out of the factories, with modern machines that have made it possible to recover over 30 Mwh of energy. Among the investments made is an efficient cogeneration plant that produces more than 80% of the energy required. Bonds can make the difference in this field connected to good food.
