The Turin prosecutor's office broadens the investigations on Fondiaria Sai. Seven new warranty notices were sent out this morning for patrimonial infidelity. The addressees of the measures are under investigation in the context of the investigation launched last August for false accounting and obstacle to supervision relating to the period 2008-2011.
According to reports from the Guardia di Finanza of Turin, there are also ongoing house searches. The new offense arises from the presentation of numerous lawsuits by the insurance company's shareholders, through consumer associations. The small shareholders have denounced the managerial conduct of the top management of the insurance company in conflict of interest with Fonsai. Behaviors that would have caused serious financial damage.
Among the operations in the crosshairs are consultancy and contracts for services stipulated by the group with companies attributable to the family Ligresti, which would have resulted in the outflow of tens of millions of euros from Fonsai's coffers.
By mid-morning, Fondiaria Sai's share on the Stock Exchange gained 0,4%.
