Salvatore Ligresti and Giancarlo Giannini, former president of Isvap, will be tried for corruption. This was decided by the investigating judge of Milan, Elisabetta Mayer, ordering the indictment for the engineer from Paternò and for the former number one of the authority in the insurance sector.
They are both accused of corruption: according to the accusing hypothesis, Ligresti would have promised Giannini to take a personal interest in having him appointed to the presidency of the Antitrust in exchange for omitted fiscal controls on Fonsai. For them, the trial will start on November 4 before the judges of the IV criminal section of Milan.
