The excellent state of health enjoyed by the asset management industry is confirmed. After the 4 billion collected in July, in August lhe net funding was positive for 3,8 billion euro. Numbers that seem to have left behind the "crisis" of the beginning of the year and which contribute to determining a new record: again in August assets rose to 2.259 billion euro.

These are the data contained in the monthly map published by Assogestioni.

Leading the sprint are above all the open funds, which in August recorded a balance of +4 billion, against -703 million in July. Since the beginning of the year, however, the total is still negative by -984 million euros. Also up are i closed-end funds, with +63 million euros (+1,65 billion since January). Doing a quick calculation, overall collective management +4,1 billion arrives, after -599 million in July, bringing net subscriptions to +684 million since January.

Minus sign for portfolio management, which after the strong growth recorded in July (+4,6 billion), closed the following month at -304 million. Since January, the total has increased by +56 billion, which – it should be remembered – includes 53 billion for movements within the Poste group.

Negative balance finally for institutional mandates (-78 million last month) and for retail portfolio management (-226 million).

As for the typology, in August the bond funds, with net inflows of +3,36 billion euros, slightly more than what was collected by monetary, which last month recorded inflows of 3,27 billion. Well i balanced (+339 million euros). On the other hand, the collection of the equity funds which mark -800 million bringing the balance since the beginning of the year to -6,5 billion.

Turning to managed assets, according to data provided by Assogestioni, open-ended funds amounted to 1.036 billion in August, equal to 45,9% of the total, up from 1.035 billion (46,3%) in July. Closed-end funds remain at 61,4 billion (2,7% of the total) and overall collective management totals assets of 1.098 billion (48,6%) from 1.097 billion (49%). As regards portfolio management assets, in August they reached 1.161,6 billion (51,4% of the total) from 1.140 billion (51%) in July, driven by institutional mandates (1.033 billion, 45,7% from 1.011 billion, 45,2%).

Finally, the "company performance". Generali raised 3,16 billion euro, while assets under management reached 529 billion, equal to 24,1% of the total. The del Leone group specifies that “the funding result recorded by the Generali Group is mainly due to intercompany transactions'.

Positive net inflows of 1 billion by Intesa Sanpaolo, +537 million through Eurizion, +481 through Fideuram. Total managed assets rise to 409 billion, equal to 18,6% of the total.

Amundi, number three in the sector in terms of assets with 190,6 billion (8,7%), recorded outflows of -751 million in August. Soul Holding closed the month with net inflows of +71,3 million and assets under management of 187 billion (8,5%) For the Post the monthly balance of flows is equal to -367 million, with assets of 94,7 billion (4,3%).
