Tim Foundation and La Scala Theater Academy: Talents on stage at the start

The 2018 edition of Talenti on stage kicks off today, the crowdfunding campaign created by Tim to raise funds to finance scholarships for young students under 30 of the Accademia Teatro alla Scala. The initiative is part of the multi-year partnership between the TIM Foundation and the Accademia Teatro alla Scala.

“It will thus be possible – until August 31st – to support young talents and professions linked to the stage by making a donation on Tim's crowdfunding platform in a simple and secure way, even by credit card. For every euro donated, the Tim Foundation will recognize a contribution of the same amount to the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, up to a maximum of 200.000 euros.

This year there will be 160 young beneficiaries of the fundraising, including 75 orchestra teachers, 40 children's choir students, 22 dancers, 10 assistant teachers, 6 opera singers, 3 sound engineers, 2 make-up artists and theatrical hairdressers and 2 tailors.

In the 2016 and 2017 editions, the initiative raised a total of around 850.000 euros to support over 300 young people in their studies.

Furthermore, the Innovation on stage tour, an initiative conceived by the TIM Foundation and the Accademia Teatro alla Scala and launched last year, to make known the training offer of the Verona school, will end in Milan on Saturday 21 April. As part of the Fuorisalone during the Milan Design Week, a modern installation at the Academy headquarters - thanks to immersive technologies such as the Oculus viewers - will allow visitors to enter the heart of the stage. The day will also be an opportunity to meet students and former students who, through testimonials and practical demonstrations, will accompany the public in the discovery of performing arts and crafts.
