Telecom Italia Foundation launches tender to enhance craftsmanship

The Telecom Italia Foundation has published today on its website www.fondazionetelecomitalia.it the tender "Invisible Assets, Places and Mastery of Artisanal Traditions", aimed at supporting projects for the enhancement of an "invisible cultural asset" (those assets unknown to mass tourism and often unknown to the inhabitants of the territory themselves also due to the lack of resources to enhance them) which - in absolute respect of the context in which the asset is inserted - can become a driving force behind the knowledge and enhancement of the asset and the trade related to it .

In particular, the Telecom Italia Foundation intends to link the places and the "mastery of the craftsman" by taking into account the national traditions which are an essential cultural heritage, combined with the contemporaneity and the future of these craft activities.

With this tender, the Telecom Italia Foundation intends to renew its commitment, supporting those projects that adopt business models oriented towards the recovery of "invisible places", of tradition and the conservation of artisanal "mastery" (popular and cultured, artistic and technical) all-Italian, in synergy with the enabling technologies of the web and digital connections which constitute a qualifying component of the tender as they allow to give a driving force to the all-Italian culture and economy by conveying the project activities covered by the tender both in Italy and abroad abroad.

The 'know-how' thus translates into an important interpretative key to bring to light those little-known or declining production sectors which, with appropriate organizational levers, could be safeguarded and relaunched. In a recessionary phase like the current one, many production areas could find a good resilience and a substantial improvement in productivity.

Mainly intended for public and private subjects who intend to carry out a project aimed at enhancing an "invisible asset", with particular reference to the recovery of invisible places, of tradition and the conservation of artisan "mastery", the tender has a total value of 1.500.000 ,16 euros and is active from 15 May to 2013 July XNUMX.

Each project may receive an economic contribution not exceeding 250.000 euros and not less than 125.000 euros, intended to cover up to a maximum of 80% of the costs incurred. To submit projects, it is necessary to register on the Telecom Italia Foundation website and enter all the required documentation through the appropriate online procedure, available in the "Tenders" section, until 15 July 2013.
