The exact date is not yet known, but the monitoring mission in Italy of the International Monetary Fund will start at the beginning of 2012. This was confirmed yesterday evening by a spokesman for the Washington institution, explaining that the IMF "concluded its brief visit to Rome, where the team of two inspectors met the new authorities and received updates".
Between the technicians of the Fund and the new Italian governors there were ”productive discussions on the modalities of the monitoring missions requested by the Italian authorities, and which will take place at the beginning of 2012”.
