The price for the purchase of Flammarion of the RCS group by the French of Gallimard is not above 250 million euros. This was specified by the head of the French publishing house, Antoine Gallimard: “The amount of the transaction – he stated – remains confidential. The price is not above 250 million euros, but it's not ridiculous."
The RCS board of directors which will have the Flammarion dossier on the agenda is scheduled for next Friday. Antoine Gallimard assured his will not to hold back: Gallimard and Flammarion, he underlined, are “two complementary houses, the acquisition will allow the creation of the third publishing group in France. The bet is to strengthen in a market that tends to shrink”.
