Tax, Imu: 2012 revenue higher than estimates, at 23,7 billion

Data released by the Ministry of the Economy indicate that the single municipal tax brought 23,7 billion euros into state homes in 2012 alone, 1,2 billion more than the latest estimates - 4 billion euros from the revenue from the first home.

The Imu paid by the Italians has allowed the State to collect a total of 23,7 billion euros in 2012, or 1,2 billion more than forecast by the Government in the end-September estimates. The data is supplied directly by the Ministry of the Economy.

From the revenue 4 billion euros arrived on the first house. Of these, 600 million come from the additions set by the Municipalities. 17,8 million Italians paid the IMU on their main home for an average amount of 225 euros. Overall, 25,8 million taxpayers paid the municipal tax for an average amount of 918 euros.
