Tax: the 2013 anti-evasion plan provides for 1,6 million checks

The Revenue Agency's 2013 anti-evasion plan, presented today to the trade union associations, aims to recover 10,2 billion euros in lost taxes through 1,6 million tax controls, including automatic checks and assessments.

The collection institute will also conduct 800 checks on the classification of properties, i.e. the correctness of the tax base on which taxes are paid will be assessed. This is because from this year the Revenue Agency also incorporates the functions of the former Land Agency.
For 2013, the tax administration intends both to consolidate the revenues from the overall control action and to simplify the fulfilments.

Just today, the Court of Auditors, in its report on the general account of the state for 2012, denounced a tax burden that rose from 42,6 to 44%, 3 points higher than the euro area average.
