Tax and debts, Equitalia: now the installments are requested online

Pay taxes, receive assistance, check your situation and ask for debt repayments. All just a click away. To simplify the relations of Italians with the tax authorities, Equitalia has renewed its website (www.gruppoequitalia.it), also optimizing it for tablets and smartphones.

The various services are "always in the foreground - reads the company note - and divided by profile: citizens, businesses, orders/associations and public creditor bodies".

The "online installments" tool is completely new, which allows you to request the deferment of debts up to 50 thousand euros directly via the web, as an alternative to traditional channels (branch and registered mail). The taxpayer will have to insert his/her personal data, specify the document for which the installment is requested and proceed with the application. Equitalia will send the amortization plan with the relative payment slips.

All the other services, on the other hand, become easier to use: "pay online", which allows you to pay off debts by credit card; "account statement", to check your debt situation and ongoing procedures in greater detail; "suspension online", which allows you to send the request to suspend the collection and activate the verification of what is required by the public creditor bodies; "find an office" and direct contact channels to request assistance from Equitalia.

“We have created a new website starting from the needs of taxpayers – commented the managing director of Equitalia, Benedetto Mineo -. The goal is to continue along the path of simplification by offering tailor-made solutions to citizens and businesses in real time. The possibility of requesting the installment plan online, a service that will concern a vast number of taxpayers, goes in this direction. To date, 2,5 million installments are active - concludes Mineo - for an amount that exceeds 28 billion euros".
