The leader of the Cisl, Annamaria Furlan, deposited this morning in the Court of Cassation in Rome the signatures to promote a new law of popular initiative "for a fairer and more just tax system". It is especially about guarantee a tax bonus of 1.000 euros per year for workers, pensioners and incompetent people and to abolish taxation on first homes. “We say no – explained Furlan – to taxes on first homes. Not to villas or castles, but to the normal home of a normal worker or pensioner".
As for finding resources, Furlan suggested using “the conflict of interests to track down tax evasion. We ask that the conflict of interests be extended to other sectors, in addition to the construction sector, such as family services". But that's not all: moreover, the resources to support the popular initiative law promoted by the CISL could also come from a tax on large net wealth. In practice, according to what is proposed by the CISL, “a small solidarity contribution that we ask from those who are richer, from that 4% of families that hold over 50% of the wealth in Italy. These families are called to make a small contribution in favor of those who have suffered the most from the effects of the crisis".
Referring to the decrees implementing the Jobs act, Furlan then defined the new permanent contract as "positive" "while too little has been cut on the forms of precariousness in which the Government has shown little courage". The lack of provision for reinstatement for collective redundancies "when the company does not respect the rules" was also rejected. For the CISL it is "a useless thing" that "will create tensions inside and outside the factories".
