Signed 24 development contracts: investments of 1,4 billion, will guarantee 25 thousand jobs

There are 24 development contracts signed this morning at Palazzo Chigi for a total investment of 1,44 billion euros - The projects safeguard or create new jobs and involve over 25 people - 44% are promoted by companies controlled by foreign groups and beyond 80% is concentrated in the four regions of southern Italy.

Investments for a total of 1,4 billion in the context of 24 contracts to reactivate development (especially in the South) and create or protect 25 jobs. This is the value of the strategic agreements presented today at Palazzo Chigi, where some Italian companies protagonists of the contracts have signed a pre-agreement with Invitalia, the national agency for the attraction of investments and business development. Present were the Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi, the Minister of Development, Federica Guidi, and the Undersecretary of the Presidency, Graziano Delrio.

"The planned investments are 1,44 billion euros - reads the note from the Executive - and concern various strategic sectors for development, in many cases representative of Made in Italy, strongly linked to the world of innovation, all in our Country, in the industrial, commercial and tourist fields. The public financial resources granted are approximately 700 million euros. More than 80% of the programs are concentrated in the four regions of the Convergence objective (Campania, Calabria, Puglia and Sicily). The projects safeguard or create new jobs and concern over 25 people. 44% of investment programs are promoted by companies controlled by foreign groups”.

Here is the list of managers who signed today: Arturo Antonio Zanni, president and CEO of Sanofi Aventis, Eugenio Aringhieri, CEO of Dompè, Fausto De Angelis, senior counsel of Whirlpool Europe, Vincenzo Rosino, CEO of Euralenergy, Lara Ponti, organization and HR development manager of Ponti, and Carlo Giello general manager of Ferrarelle. Among those present also Pietro Palella, managing director of STMicroelectronics. 

The other companies involved are the following: MbdA Italia 2, Vodafone Omnitel Nv, Prysmian Group – Prysmian Powerlink, Seda Italy, Telecom Italia, Denso Manufacturing Italia, De Cecco mill and pasta factory, Giovanni Bosca Tosti, Siciliani, La Regina di San Marzano, Portaro Oil Group, Kimbo, Benincasa, Diomira, Ro.Ma. Immobiliare, Item, Multicede.

On work and the revitalization of employment “politics is at stake for its credibility – said the premier -. At the end of the thousand days, Italy will be in a position to lead the economic recovery and not to bring up the rear”.
