Florence: Verdini sentenced to 2 years

The Rome court sentenced Senator Denis Verdini to two years' imprisonment on charges of complicity in corruption in a trial linked to contracts for the Marescialli School of the Gdf in Florence. The sentence was suspended.

The sentence judges of the VII Criminal Section of the Court of Rome came after more than two hours of deliberation. The college accepted the sentence request made by the public prosecutor. Ala's leader was present in the courtroom at the reading of the sentence.

In particular, according to the indictment, Verdini aided the builder Riccardo Fusi and reported Fabio De Santis for appointment as supervisor of public works in Tuscany. the investigation concerns what has by now been called the clique of major works. A chain of contracts led by the former administrator Angelo Balducci.
