Out one. The championship is preparing to remove the penultimate asterisk from standings (will remain alone Bologna-Milan, expected the February 26), with a challenge between Fiorentina e Inter that promises to be a spectacle. The first act of a double confrontation will take place at the Franchi, since the teams will meet again on Monday for the return match, this time at San Siro: oddities of a crazy calendar, so lacking in spaces that it cannot do better. What matters most, however, are the 3 points and those are tempting for both, given that the standings are still wide open. The Nerazzurri want to catch up with Napoli, the purple ones Lazio in fourth place, which is why the match will also be followed with great interest by the competition.
Fiorentina – Inter (20:45 pm, Dazn and Sky)
So this evening, the Serie A will experience an important stage with the highly anticipated recovery between Fiorentina and Inter, suspended last December 1st due to the illness that struck Edoardo Bove. The match, as per the rules, will restart from the 17th minute, with Viola and Nerazzurri who will have 73' (plus injury time) to win it. Since that cursed (but fortunately not too much) evening, many things have changed, starting with the standings: then, in fact, the two teams were tied on 28 points together with Lazio, one less than the leaders Napoli, while today Inter has 12 points more than Fiorentina. It is no longer a direct clash, but the points up for grabs are still very important: a Nerazzurri victory would be worth the draw with Conte, a Viola in fourth place currently occupied by Lazio.
Then, to further upset the balance, the winter market, who overturned Palladino's squad with the arrivals of Zaniolo, beans e Folorunsho. However, due to the rules, these players they cannot be used (only those who were already registered at the time of the suspension can play) and their debut will only take place in the return match, scheduled for Monday at San Siro. Furthermore, Fiorentina will have to make at less of the seven players sold (Wednesday, biraghi, Kayode, IKONE, Kouame, Sottil e Christensen), leaving the coach with a squad reduced to just 14 available players, with the additional Adli's unknowns, Cataldi e Hit, all struggling with physical ailments. Inter do not have these problems, having had a much less invasive transfer market and with an increasingly empty infirmary. Despite this, the Nerazzurri coach could opt for a bit of rotation, also in light of the many Viola absences. The reigning champions could field Bisseck instead of Pavard, while Carlos Augusto could give one of us a breather Sticks e Marco's. The biggest doubt, however, concerns the direction: confirm Calhanoglu, who returned on Sunday in the derby after a month out, or rely on Aslan? Inzaghi will decide only at the last minute, because if it is true that the match counts a lot, it is also true that the next few weeks will be very heated, with the Nerazzurri called to face Fiorentina (Monday), Juventus, Genoa, Lazio (Coppa Italia) and Napoli.
