Samsung Techwin will not make any offer to acquire the 55% of Ansaldo Energia offered for sale by Finmeccanica. The Korean company made it known in a communication to the Seoul Stock Exchange.
The energy company of the Samsung group explained that it does not intend to participate in the tender because it does not believe that the purchase will be useful for strengthening its core business, i.e. the construction of components for power plants.
At the beginning of the afternoon, Finmeccanica shares slipped by 0,8% in Piazza Affari.
Last month the German Siemens offered for Ansaldo, a figure close to the estimate of 1,3 billion euro which was discussed a few months ago.
