Ethics was the undisputed star of the meeting of Finmeccanica's board of directors, which was held today. This is the second meeting after the appointment of the general manager and managing director Alessandro Pansa and the vice president Guido Venturoni.
New governance and transparency rules: a decisive tightening on contracts, appointments and the integrity of directors, managers, employees. In particular, the members of the boards of directors will be reduced in number and those who will be part of the supervisory bodies will have to be, for the most part, members from outside the companies and the group.
A corporate bodies committee will also be created who will have the task of proposing the most important appointments, such as those of the administrator and the mayor. A new organizational unit (Risk management) will also come into being which, dealing with the management of operational and financial risks, will improve the governance of the group.
