“We cannot stay out of the world: the policy of alliances is fundamental for us. We must also have a defense industry policy to find room for intelligent consolidation”. The CEO of the said yesterday Finmeccanica, Mauro Moretti, during the conference "Knowledge, innovation, revival of the economy" in Pavia.
Finmeccanica must above all “concentrate the core business" and then "greatly simplify the number of things it does”, added Moretti, underlining that “unfortunately the group is in a phase of major restructuring, because it has made many debts, but it cannot miss all the trains. We are in a situation in which the national defense company is not a small company, but a medium-sized one, with many debts, many uneven productions and in which it is difficult to find a homogeneous investment policy”.
At the opening today, Finmeccanica's stock dropped 0,26%, a 11,59 euro.
