Finmeccanica will present “a completely new and innovative industrial plan within the year”. This was announced by the managing director Mauro Moretti on the sidelines of a conference in progress at Enac. “We're working on it, now we're preparing the half-year report on the basis of which we'll have further information to set up the plan. It won't be - explained Moretti - an update, it will be a completely new and innovative business plan".
One of the pillars of the new plan, confirmed Moretti, will be the divisionalisation approved by the last board of directors: “The statement from the board of directors is clear: the divisionalisation was decided to avoid barriers and fractures between the group companies, as well as too many overlaps, with the goal of developing synergies”.
Another guideline of the plan will be, added Moretti, that of "expanding our international presence in sectors that are strategic for us, in our core business, for example in the helicopter sector where we have to attack new markets, adding new services to the excellent products that we already have". Moretti gave the example of China which, he underlined, "according to estimates, in a few years, will see the number of helicopters in flight grow from 500 to 20".
The Finmeccanica stock smiles at the end of the morning in Piazza Affari, where it gains almost 2% a 7,175 euro.
