Consob prohibits short selling of Finmeccanica stock in today's and tomorrow's trading sessions. This was announced in a statement by the Commission led by Giuseppe Vegas.
The prohibition was adopted in application of article 23 of the Community Regulation on "short selling", taking into account the price change recorded today by the security (above the 10% threshold).
The prohibition concerns short selling assisted by the availability of securities. The scope of the ban on naked short selling, already in force for all shares since November XNUMXst by virtue of the Community regulation, is thus extended and strengthened.
Finmeccanica shares are plummeting after that the arrest of the managing director Giuseppe Orsi.
