Finmeccanica, Ge does not confirm interest in Sts: "We are at the window"

General Electric Italia, a company of the General Electric group, does not confirm an interest in the company of the Finmeccanica group Ansaldo Sts active in railway signaling, but only says it is "at the window" to evaluate the decisions of the defense group and the government on the subsidiary. This is what Sandro de Poli, chairman and CEO of General Electric Italia reported, on the sidelines of a press conference with Enea, after De Palo himself had spoken three weeks ago at the Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio of an interest in Sts.

“At this point we no longer comment, because changes accelerate every day… We stand at the window and watch” De Palo replied when asked if General Electric Italia is still interested in Sts.

Today, during a meeting with the unions, the managing director of Finmeccanica Alessandro Pansa informed of the existence of “negotiations for the railway sector with important foreign manufacturing groups” (according to a union note). The companies of the Finmeccanica group in the railway sector are Sts and Ansaldo Breda.

Ansaldo Sts around 16 pm gains 0,85%, Finmeccanica 3,93%.
