The hands of Fincantieri they stretch on Stx France. The negotiation for the acquisition of the transalpine shipbuilding company, 66,6% owned by the Koreans of Stx Europe and 33,4% by the French state through the Fond strategique d'investissment (the equivalent of our Cdp) would be very advanced.
The Italian company, controlled by Fintecna, would acquire the stake held by Stx Europe, but will need to obtain the go-ahead from the French state. In any case, the financial outlay would not be particularly burdensome for Fincantieri.
The shipbuilding company based in Trieste would thus close the second international growth operation in a short time, after the acquisition of the offshore division of Stx carried out last year.
In the meantime, Fincantieri's stock is hovering around parity in Piazza Affari, on a positive morning so far for the Italian stock market.
