Fincantieri returns to profit and flies to the stock market

The company active in shipbuilding recorded a profit of 0,3 million against the loss of 27 million recorded in the same period of 2015 – Fincantieri shares gain more than 11% in Piazza Affari.

The results recorded by the company in the first quarter. The company closed the first three months of 2015 with a return to profit at 0,3 million euro against the red of 27 million in the same period of 2015.

The total backlog stands at 19,2 billion euros and revenues are at 1,048 billion. Ebitda stood at 51 million, while the net financial position was negative by 363 million, an improvement from -438 million as at 31 December 2015.

The CEO of Fincantieri is satisfied Giuseppe Bono: "The important managerial and economic objectives achieved in the first few months of 2016 allow us to confirm the objectives of the business plan, in terms of revenue development, increased profitability, cash generation and shareholder remuneration".
