Fincantieri, Calenda: control of remains for Italy

The Minister of Economic Development replies to Macron, who would like to renegotiate the agreement: "For us, the one signed with the previous French government applies"

"For us, the agreement with the previous French government for the creation of a shipbuilding pole is valid, so we can discuss which financial institution should take the 6% share, which in any case belongs to Italy". This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Carlo Calenda, regarding the Stx-Fincantieri operation, as he entered the Confcommercio Assembly.

The agreement with the previous Hollande administration provided for the attribution of 48% of Stx France to the Fincantieri group, about 8% to the CR Trieste Foundation and to divide the rest of the capital between the French state (33%) and the public company DCNS .

Recently, however, the new French president Emmanuel Macron said he would renegotiate the agreement by introducing other shipowners.
