SME loans, EIB takes over Lendix

The European Investment Bank (EIB) – an EU financial institution created to finance investments in support of EU policy objectives – has joined the Lendix platform through the backing of the European Investment Fund (EIF).

This is an operation that aims to enhance collective financing for European companies through a co-financing fund supported by the EIB Group with an amount equal to 18,5 million euros.

The initiative is particularly innovative, and is part of the priority action of the French government and the EU aimed at supporting businesses. All this assumes even more importance given the prominence of Lendix. It is a European lending platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, at the top of the ranking in all of continental Europe.

The purpose of this European support is to attract other investors and increase the financing offer of the Lendix platform.

Lendix allows SMEs to direct access to private and institutional investors without having to go through the bank intermediary. Thanks to Lendix, lenders use their savings profitably, and companies find simple and effective sources of financing. The French platform has already made approx 95 million euros of loans aimed at more than 250 SME development projects.

Satisfaction from all parties of the agreement. The French Minister of Economy and Finance,
Bruno The Mayor commented: “The signing of this project sends out a strong signal: through the EIB Group, the European Union is present in France to help finance innovative and value-added projects. It testifies to the commitment we have to our entrepreneurs. The French chain of excellence of financial technology companies and start-ups, of which Lendix is one of the many examples, will make its impact much more incisive thanks to European capitals. AND the symbol of Europe that invests”.
