Fim Cisl for legality in Casal di Principe

He left today at Casal di Principe (Caserta) the Fim Cisl National Youth Camp on Legality and Work. The camp, which takes place in the land of Don Peppe Diana – the priest killed twenty years ago by the Camorra because he was engaged in educating on legality and in contrasting mafia power – is attended by 50 union delegates under 35 from all Italian regions.

The Cisl metalworkers' union has been committed to the issue of legality and training for years; this youth camp follows the initiative carried out on 29 April in Aversa, as a prologue to Labor Day, to reward local companies that have stood out for their fight against crime and the participation of workers. With this field of work and training, the Fim Young intends to strengthen the relationship with the associative network involved in the civil economy and in particular in the countryside of Aversa with the NCO Consortium (New Organized Cooperation) which deals with personal services and the use of assets confiscated from the Camorra for productive use.

The General Secretary of Fim Cisl will also be present on 23 June Marco Bentivogli for a meeting on the topic of the union of the future and the representation of young people in changing work. For Fim leader Bentivogli, work is the first defense of legality against the Camorra and organized crime, especially in the south of the country but not only. For this we must work to enhance and support honest work and virtuous cooperation projects. Within this vision of representation, training is certainly a strategic issue for a trade union which faces new developments, which studies, which makes new analyzes and rediscovers the frontier spirit, frequenting the suburbs and workplaces.

During the week of the camp, the young FIM delegates will be engaged in training and educational initiatives on the issues of legality and social voluntary work and in the collection and production of tomatoes, in support of an economic activity aimed at giving back to the local community the assets confiscated from the Camorra and at creating jobs in compliance with the rights of producers, consumers and the environment.
