The Council of the La Scala Philharmonic has appointed Maurizio Beretta new President of the Association. Head of Group Institutional Affairs & Sustainability of UniCredit and member of the Council of the Philharmonic since last October, Maurizio Beretta assumes the role of top of the structure taking over from Fabrizio Saccomanni, who passed away suddenly last August. The Board and Members of the Filarmonica della Scala recalled the competence and passion that characterized Fabrizio Saccomanni's work during his tenure.
The appointment of Maurizio Beretta takes place in continuity with the line drawn by its predecessors both for the experience in the field of institutional relations and for the sensitivity and closeness to the activity of the orchestra, including the sharing of objectives and fundamental values such as the commitment to dissemination, especially among the younger generations, and the attention for the social.

Maurizio Beretta began his career as a professional journalist. His collaboration with Rai is twenty years old, for which he was special correspondent, editor-in-chief for economic and trade union information, deputy director of Tg1 until he became director of RaiUno. In 2001, entry into Fiat SpA first as Director of External Relations and Communications and then as Director of Institutional and International Relations. He was General Manager of Confindustria, President of Lega Calcio and Serie A and Vice President of Federcalcio. He has taught “Theory and Technique of Institutional Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility” at the La Sapienza University of Rome.
