For his Juventus and for the national team a security for years and years, today the Juventus number one, at the age of 39, received yet another prestigious award, the "The Best Fifa Awards" as the best goalkeeper of last season, beating the likes of Keylor Navas and Manuel Neuer.
“I am happy and proud to have received this award at my age – said Buffon – I thank my club, my coach, and my team mates because they helped me win it. The last season was fantastic, but not enough to win in Europe. I would like to end my career with a great victory."
Best player of the season is Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the Barcelona duo Neymar and Messi. The best coach is Zinedine Zidane, while the best goal was scored by Olivier Giroud, Arsenal striker.
