Fibercop and Isiline, signed co-investment agreement for optical fiber

FiberCop, infrastructure operator of the TIM group, and Isiline, Piedmontese provider, have signed aco-investment agreement for the realization of fiber optic access network Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) in the province of Cuneo.

Isiline will integrate its fiber optic network with FiberCop's access network to develop the Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) access market, with fiber optic connections to homes, in the cities of Borgo San Dalmazzo, Busca, Boves, Cavallermaggiore, Cervasca and Beinette. The Cuneo-based company has been investing since 2014 to expand its infrastructure to support its fiber optic network that connects the local area.

The operation of co-investment is part of the FiberCop investment plan, which will ensure FTTH coverage to over 60% of the country's real estate units. In fact, the company operates on the basis of the co-investment model and represents the first case in Europe of application of the new on a national scale European Code of Electronic Communications.

FiberCop is the infrastructural company controlled by TIM (at 58%) together with KKR Infrastructure (37,5%) and Fastweb (4,5%) and has as its objective the digitization of the country through the development of fiber optic connections with Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) technology. The company provides operators with passive fiber optic access services, operating with maximum efficiency and protecting people and the environment.
