The Board of Directors of FiberCop met under the chairmanship of Massimo Sarmi and appointed Carlo Filangieri as managing director of the Tim group company. Graduated in Electronic Engineering, after an experience in another company, Filangieri began his career in Telecom Italia in 1993, holding various positions in the area and, since 1999, in General Management first as head of delivery of Broadband services and, subsequently, with on delivery and technical assistance of the access network.
In 2008, he took over the management of Telecom Italia's IT infrastructures, launching the Next Generation Data Center, Virtual Desktop and Cloud Computing projects. At the beginning of 2011, he moved to the Network area, dealing with service creation and video communication services; at the end of 2012, after a period as regional director of the North East area of Open Access, he took over the position of CTO of Tim Brasil.
FiberCop will offer secondary network passive access services with the goal of achieving fiber optic coverage of the black and gray areas of the country, thus accelerating the availability of Ultrabroadband (UBB) services.
