Signed a commercial agreement between SHOPPING MALL, a company that manufactures networking devices, and Open Fiber, the company that is building the FTTH (Fiber To The Home) fiber optic infrastructure in Italy. From today, through the OF partner operators, it is available an offer of 2,5 Gbps FTTH connectivity which includes a FRITZ!Box 5530 Fiber modem.

“This is a European-wide collaboration to facilitate and promote the deployment of 2,5Gbps FTTH broadband by retail operators who can provide the service to end users very quickly and with all the benefits of local production,” he said. Domenico Dichiarante, Head of Operational Marketing of Open Fiber, added: “The most recent digital applications and those that will be developed in the future require a large amount of bandwidth and an ultra-fast and stable connection. To date, the only technology capable of reaching and exceeding Gigabit is FTTH fiber optics. Open Fiber is working not only to bring it throughout Italy, but also to further improve the quality of the infrastructure that we make available to our 300 partner operators, and the collaboration with AVM is part of this process".
