Fiat, Zanonato: "The headquarters abroad are better than the decline"

"If the alternative was a slow decline for Fiat, what we have seen is better" with the choice of legal and fiscal headquarters abroad for FCA, born from the merger between Lingotto and Chrysler. This was stated by the Minister of Economic Development, Flavio Zanonato, on "L'aria che tira" on La7.

Of course, added the minister, “it would have been better if he had set up headquarters in Italy”, but the important thing is “that he continues to produce in Italy, that research remains in Italy, that he pays taxes on production in Italy. They are all elements of a brand that remains tied to the Italian spirit”. FCA has chosen Holland as its registered office and Great Britain as its tax office.

This morning the Fiat title it suffers a bit in Piazza Affari, where shortly after 12 it loses 0,21% a 7,265 euro.
