Chrysler closed last month with a 12% increase in US registrations, recording the best September since 2007 and the thirtieth consecutive monthly increase in sales. The other American brands of the group (Jeep, Dodge, Ram Truck) also achieved positive results, but the best performance ever was that of Fiat, majority shareholder of the Detroit group, which recorded a growth of 51%.

A boom that clashes with the results communicated yesterday in relation to the Italian market, where in September Fiat recorded an annual drop of 22,9% in registrations, with a slight rise (given the global crisis in the sector) from 21,17% to 21,98%. From Lingotto they found that the result is the worst result recorded in the month since 1984, when registrations stood at 107 thousand.
