Fiat bets heavily on the new Lancia Y

In June in Italy and in Europe and in September in Great Britain, with the Chrysler brand. This is the strategy that Fiat will adopt, in search of a broader range of sales expansion, for the launch of the new 5-door Lancia Y.
"It is the car that will open the doors of Europe to us" -explains the CEO of the Fiat Group car manufacturer, Olivier Francois, at the presentation of the car- "Since 2012 we plan to sell about 120 units a year, compared of a current record of 82”. The Lancia brand currently sells around 120 cars a year and aims, also thanks to this new model, to double that number by 2014.
The new Ypsilon will not be distributed in the USA and Canada for now but could land on other markets where Chrysler is already present such as Japan, Korea, South Africa and Australia. The car will be manufactured at the Polish Tiki plant and the price will start at 12.400 euros. A total of around 500 million euros were invested in its construction.
