Fiat, tests of rebound in Piazza Affari

Evidence of a rebound in Piazza Affari for the Fiat share, which, after -5,5% yesterday, today at the end of the morning gains just under four percentage points, to 6,71 euros, with a high for the day at 6,785 euros . The exchanges are quite lively: over 9,5 million pieces have already changed hands, while the average of the last thirty days for the entire session is 16 million.

In recent sessions, the Fiat share fell due to fears of an exercise of the right of withdrawal of more than 500 million euros, which would blow up the merger with Chrysler. Yesterday the number one of the group, Sergio Marchionne, in the conference call of the Detroit automaker, reassured the market, confirming that he is confident on the withdrawal issue and explaining that, even in the event of a failed merger, there would be no industrial impact.

According to Intermonte analysts, "Marchionne's indications are in line with expectations" and "although the risk of exceeding the established limits is real, we continue to believe that it is unlikely to happen".
