Fiat found an agreement with Mitsubishi for the production of a medium pick up “based on the next generation of the L 200”. This was communicated in a note issued by Lingotto this morning.
The news closely follows that of two other collaborations announced with Japanese manufacturers: Fiat, in fact, has reached similar agreements with Suzuki and Madza.
The memorandum of understanding between the two groups is not binding, but in any case it represents a logical element within the strategy of Marchionne, who is very active in Asia. In fact, the Asian area has now become the biggest dossier on FCA's table.
Meanwhile, in mid-morning, the Fiat share advanced by more than 1%, in the wake of the positive trend maintained by the Italian stock market in the same minutes.
