The Polish division of Fiat Auto has announced the investment to produce a brand new small city car – "96% of the production of the new model will be destined for export, in particular to the United States".

Fiat Auto Poland plans to invest 2,36 million zlotys in Poland, equal to approximately 563 million euros, to produce a new small city car - "still never produced by the Fiat group" - in the Tychy and Bierun plants. This was announced by the Polish government in a note. Production of the new car (segment B), whose name has not been disclosed, could start at the end of 2017 and would create 420 new jobs in a plant that currently employs around 3.000 people.

"96% of the production of the new model will be destined for export, especially to the United States", notes the press release, without adding any further details on the Fiat project. In 2013, the Tychy plants produced around 250 examples of the Fiat 500, Lancia Ypsilon, Abarth 500 and Ford Ka.

today Fiat title goes up to Piazza Affari, where in the early afternoon it gains more than 2% a 7,41 euro.
