"I don't think Veba would accept stock" in lieu of cash for the shares it holds in Chrysler. So he replied the CEO of Fiat Crysler, Sergio Marchionne, to journalists who asked him if an operation similar to that which occurred between Fiat Industrial and CNH could be hypothesized with Veba.
Marchionne also said he believed that Veba "doesn't want shares in a company based in Europe" and when asked by reporters if he would accept them instead if the company were based in the US, he replied: "his choices".
