Fiat plays Dutch: Marchionne does not rule out taking the headquarters there after the merger with Chrysler

The headquarters of the Fiat group after the merger with Chrysler could be in the Netherlands. This was stated by the CEO of Fiat Sergio Marchionne on the sidelines of the CNH assembly.

The manager also said he expects Core Delaware's verdict on the Veba stake could come "this summer before the end of July." At the beginning of the month, Fiat communicated to Veba its intention to exercise its option to purchase a third tranche of the investment held by the fund in Chrysler, equal to approximately 3,3%, which will bring the Lingotto to 68,49% of the capital of the US automaker.

It remains to be seen what the decision of the Delaware Court will be on the valuation of the US company, after Fiat last September asked the Court to confirm the price to pay for the stake.
