Fiat: goodbye to Piazza Affari, from Monday FCA to Milan and Wall Street

Fiat at the farewell step. Today, in fact, the last day of the Lingotto in Piazza Affari, after 111 years of listing on the Stock Exchange. The new title of the company after the merger with Chrysler, fca, will debut on Monday at the New York Stock Exchange and in Milan.

Fiat's registered office will also change: no longer Turin, but in Holland, while the financial headquarters will be in London. Among the company's plans there are also heavy investments, at least 50 million euros, to relaunch the Alfa Romeo brand and launch new models.

In the meantime, the top management of the group are not closing the door to a possible new merger even if, warns John Elkann, the Agnelli family "has no intention of selling".

In its last days in Piazza Affari, Fiat did not record particularly positive performances, on the contrary. Also today in the morning, the Lingotto stock recorded a decline of more than 1%, in the wake of the negative trend of the Italian stock exchange.

Finally, the company will have to pay a total sum of 417 million euros to the shareholders who have exercised the right of withdrawal.
