In October, Fiat increased its share of the Brazilian market with 80.799 cars and light commercial vehicles registered, growing by 41,4% over the year.

In October, Fiat increased its share of the Brazilian market with 80.799 cars and light commercial vehicles registered, growing by 41,4% y/y. With this result, the Lingotto recorded sales of 692.428 units in the first ten months of the year, with a growth of 11,9%, when 618.833 units had been sold.

The company, explains a note from the group, is growing faster than the rate of expansion of the Brazilian market, which progressed by 7,2% y/y, with 2,99 million cars and light commercial vehicles marketed between January and October 2012 .

Thanks to this performance, Fiat is expanding its share of the Brazilian market. Between January and October 2011, the company registered 618.833 cars and light commercial vehicles, representing 22,2% of the market. In the same period of this year, the 692.428 units registered meant 23,1% of the market share. Fiat thus took first place in the Brazilian market for the tenth year.
