Labor Day: Fim-Cisl Ethical Cash Mob

Friday 27 April at 9.30 at Cascina Triulza (ex Expo area), for the third consecutive year, after Aversa (Caserta) and Muccia (Macerata), the Fim Cisl organizes the Ethical Cash Mob with NeXt (an active citizenship initiative invented by NeXt and promoted together with Fim Cisl to support companies that respect workers and the environment, through the creation of collective responsible consumption and promotion events), where three Lombard companies will be awarded that have distinguished themselves for social and environmental sustainability and for relationships positive trade unions: Iseo Serrature, Manfrotto and Siemens. More than 200 Fim Cisl delegates from all over Italy will take part in the initiative.

The initiative will focus on the presentation by the awarded companies of good sustainability practices towards workers and the environment which will be followed by a round table in which the following will take part: Marco Bentivogli, national secretary of FIM-Cisl, Leonardo Becchetti, founder of NeXt and creator of the practice of Voting with Wallet, Don Virginio Colmegna, President of the Casa della Carità Foundation in Milan and Angelo Righetti, psychiatrist and inventor of the Health Budget for the socially sustainable management of home health services and welfare practices generative. Round table coordinated by journalist Oscar Giannino.

For the leader of the Fim Cisl Marco Bentivogli: "the Milan initiative aims to represent a prologue to the May 1 party, after three years ago having rewarded the companies of Don Peppe Diana's land, which fight for legality and sustainability and the last year in the Marches those that despite the earthquake continued to keep sustainability and social standards high, we will be in Milan to reward three Lombard companies that have distinguished themselves for their sustainability, participation and training of workers.

The initiative will have at the center a Cahs Mob and Voting with Wallet, which as Fim we included during the last Congress in the FIM Statute as new forms of trade union struggle. In fact, Cash Mob and Voto col wallet are in our opinion necessary tools as well as spreading more information, generating awareness and encouraging people's participation – they allow everyone to leverage the possibility of taking back the market and, through their own consumption, guide the behavior of companies, inside and outside the company perimeter, towards sustainable production and behavior from an environmental and social point of view. The data tell us that sustainable companies are also the most solid ones from an economic point of view”.
