Ferrero, turnover grows +7%

In times of crisis, we give up everything but sweets. The Ferrero group recorded, in the year from August 2010 to August 2011, a turnover of 2,5 billion euros, up 7% on the previous year. On the other hand, net profit decreased by almost 30%, to 110,7 million, due to non-recurring tax provisions for the definition of assessments on previous tax periods. Ferrero communicates it in a company note.

The positive trend in sales volumes was mainly supported by the Nutella, Tic Tac and Kinder Cioccolato segments with increases ranging between 3,4% and 8,3%. The cash flow generated by income management amounts to 191,4 million euro and the company continued its policy of innovation and development with new productive investments for a total of 105,3 million.

Ferrero is a multinational group with 38 operating companies based in the country and over 20.000 employees.
