Ferrari, profit ok but debts sink the stock on the stock exchange

Ferrari returns to trading after the stop in the volatility auction: the shares show a drop of 9,64% to 32,98 euros shortly before the closing. The Cavallino house closed 2015 with net revenues up by 3% (-3% at constant exchange rates) to 2,85 billion, an adjusted ebit of 473 million (404 million in 2014), an adjusted ebitda of 748 million ( from 693 million) and a net profit of 290 million, up 9% on the previous year.

Earnings per share amounted to 1,52 euros (1,38). These numbers are higher than analysts' expectations, while the trend of financial debt is decidedly worse than forecasts, which at the end of 2015 amounted to 1,94 billion, a level more than double compared to the approximately 800 million market estimates. Ferrari has also announced forecasts for 2016: the company expects revenues of 2,9 billion (in line with the consensus) and ebitda of 770 million, below the 802 expected.
