Ferrari SF90 Spider: here is the new Cavallino model

The new arrival in Maranello is called Ferrari SF90 Spider and is the convertible version of the SF90 Stradale. The new model, presented on Thursday during an online event, is "the Prancing Horse's first production plug-in hybrid spider - reads a note - but it also stands as an absolute reference in terms of performance".

Deliveries will start to go from the second quarter of 2021. "It will start as the first market from Europe and then be delivered to other countries," specified Enrico Galliera, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer of Ferrari.

The base price in Italy is 473mila euros, about 10% more than the SF90 Stradale. This spider has a 780-horsepower turbocharged engine, flanked by three electric motors, one at the rear and two at the front axle, which carry the maximum power available at 1000 horsepower. The car, a standard super car, is equipped with an eManettino which allows you to set one of the modes of use of the power unit (eDrive, Hybrid, Performance and Qaulify).

Like the Sf90 Stradale, the Sf90 Spider is also equipped with all-wheel drive on demand, an absolute first for the sports cars of the Maranello House which allows the car to transform itself into the new reference for standing starts: from 0 to 100 km/h in 2,5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 7 seconds. As with the SF90 Stradale, a specific set-up is also offered for the SF90 Spider, available on request for those wishing to take the racing setting to extremes.

The Ferrari SF90 Spider, “which inherits the standard supercar setting from the SF90 Stradale – continues the note – manages to increase driving pleasure and usability thanks to the latest version of the retractable hard top. The SF90 Spider is therefore a breakthrough car, which redefines some of the fundamentals of the supercar category”.

Early afternoon Ferrari's share on the Stock Exchange it dropped 0,5%, to 176,60 euros. On average over the last 30 days, shares have gained 14% and it is foreseeable that in the coming months, with the rotation triggered by the gradual overcoming of the pandemic thanks to vaccines, further upside will open up for the Cavallino. Ferrari will in fact be able to benefit from the recovery of the luxury sector, the automotive sector and the stop to travel restrictions.
